Czech it out...

Since we've been in Prague, it hasn't stopped raining and it is FREEZING. This is not the climate I enjoy being used to summer in FL! We haven't really gotten to see anything yet since we've had class and because of the nasty weather, but hopefully we can do some sightseeing this weekend! Last night was the first night we went out in Prague and we had such a fun time! We met these really cool guys from California Western School of Law and met them for pizza and drinks at this restaurant where we watched the end of the Manchester United-Chelsea game. Even though I'm not really into soccer or anything, it was really exciting! Then we went out to this basement bar where Meryl and I were serious dancing machines. There were a bunch of people from the program so it was fun meeting some new people.

Unfortunately, our dorm is about an hour trek from the area where everyone goes out, so we crashed on their floor which was not so fun in the morning when Meryl and I woke up freezing!

I don't want to be a Negative Nancy, but our dorms REALLY suck. When we first got here, our door handle fell off immediately and our shower doesn't drain so we shower in standing water up to our ankles...ick! It used to flood the whole bathroom, but we got that and the door handle taken care of. It's really not that awful, except for the long journey every time we want to go anywhere. Over half the people here live in really nice apartments, which I'm so jealous of, but I guess there is nothing we can really do about it and it's only 3 weeks anyway!
Class is fairly interesting, but very different from our 1L classes. I'm not sure if its because they are not FSU classes or because we are on a summer program or because they aren't 1L classes. They are very theoretical and we haven't read one case, so I guess we'll see how it goes!
Other than that, the second day of class, we got to go to this historic building, Karolina and we got a tour. It was pretty, but unfortunately, I couldn't really understand the guy's accent so I have no idea what he was talking about. I did get to see him wearing this great outfit though...
Anyway, hopefully I'll have more pictures and better stories after this weekend, so thank you for reading!
